L.I.T. PROGRAM -- WHAT ON EARTH IS IT?

Learn valuable life skills while serving God.  Each summer PBC offers a 2-week Leader in Training (LIT) Program.  This program is designed to prepare youth to be leaders, both at camp and in all areas of life.  Hands-on training includes teaching skill activities and working as cabin leaders, maintenance, kitchen and dinning room staff.  Participants are challenged to develop team work and leadership skills as they interact with the campers and each other.  Upon completion of the program, leaders in training are encouraged to take their skills back to their home towns and use them for the glory of God.  Some Leaders in Training will be asked to return to/remain at camp during the summer in regular staff positions.

WHO CAN DO THIS CRAZY PROGRAM?

LIT candidates must be at least 15 years of age or completed grade 9 and have a desire to serve.  Candidates should be ready for God to take them on an incredible journey.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

The 2008 rate is $400.00 per person for the two week program.  This includes the program, meals and accommodations.  LIT's who are asked to stay additional weeks in the summer will receive a small honorarium for their efforts.

WHEN IS IT?

The LIT program will run from July 5-19, 2008.  The LIT Directors for 2008, Jon Markiewicz and Emilie Godin, may ask you to arrive a few days earlier.

HOW CAN I SIGN UP?

We are currently taking applications for the upcoming season.  Applicants are asked to download and complete the regular Staff Application. You may also contact the directors Annette and Andy Cabral at (905) 792-2019.  Once your application is received in full, including your three references, your application will be processed.  Accepted applicants will be notified by phone.
