Pleasant Bay Camp is once again offering a three week leadership training course. In order to qualify for this program you must have completed grade 9
and be 15 years old before September. It is an intense leadership course during which you will be challenged at a personal and spiritual level. You will have an opportunity to see how all aspects of how a Christian camping ministry operates and get valuable hands on experience. Included is a written / classroom aspect to the program.
Upon successful completion of the program, LIT's may be invited on staff for one week of voluntary service as a kitchen/dining or maintenance assistant. This week of service may be used for high school volunteer hours. There are many opportunities to get involved with God's ministry at Pleasant Bay Camp. Volunteer and paid positions are available. We believe that God can use your skills at Pleasant Bay Camp and we welcome applications from anyone meeting the age criteria who is willing to serve while they learn. As an accredited charitable organization, we can provide a letter for credit towards your high school volunteer hours.
If you are interested in this program, fill out the application which you will find below, and you will be contacted at a later date by the LIT leader. There will be a short interview to determine your readiness for the program. Please also have one reference
completed; if you are affiliated with a church your reference should come from someone in leadership there. You will find the application form below. The cost for the 2019 program is $540.00 (plus HST) from July 7th - July 27th 2019.
You may receive an offer to stay on at camp in a voluntary capacity into August.
Please note - this form is designed to be completed by the person who is hoping to attend our Leaders-in-Training Program rather than the parent.
