Accessible Customer Service Plan

Providing Goods and Services to People with “Accessible” needs at Pleasant Bay Bible Conference Grounds Inc.

Pleasant Bay Camp is committed to excellence in serving all campers including people with accessible needs. Assistive needs campers with assistive devices will be accommodated within the constraints of the current facilities recognizing that the camp terrain may not be suitable for a variety or types of devices.

Communication where feasible, Pleasant Bay Camp will communicate with people with accessible needs in ways that take into account their personal needs. Service animals are welcomed at Pleasant Bay Camp for people with accessible needs. These service animals are allowed on the parts of our premises that are open to the public. A person with accessible needs who is accompanied by a support person will be allowed to have that person accompany them on our premises. Additional fees may be assessed for this additional support person depending on the circumstances.

The children`s camp may be able to supply one-on-one support at a reduced cost when requested and available. In the event of a planned or unplanned disruption of services or facilities for customers with accessible needs the camp managers will ensure details of the disruption and alternate accommodation will be provided to accessible needs persons promptly.

Appropriate training will be provided to the camp staff during the orientation week. Your feedback is welcomed and will be forwarded to the camp managers and/or the camp Board of Directors.

Notice of accessible services are available upon request and posted in the camp offices, camp bulletin boards. Any policy, practice or procedure that does not respect the principles of dignity, independence, integration and equal opportunity for people with accessible needs within the constraints of a camping environment will be modified or removed. Modifications to premises is dependent on availability of funds.
